Good food. Hot and sour soup is the best I have had. Prices are low, they do have a dinner special for two and a lunch special. Also serve Vietnamese food, but I have not tried it yet. I love pho and they do have it.

Just moved to the area and was super excited to have a pho place close. I was looking forward to trying it this Sunday afternoon, but to my disappointment the doors were locked 45 minutes after they were to open. I'm not sure I'm interested in trying a business if they are run like that. Even the door said they opened at 11 on Sunday's. Not sure if I want to give them another try, if I do, and their food is outstanding, I'll change the review. For now, 1 is more than enough.

We travel in an RV--coast to coast and border to border, have been to many restaurants. We chose to have dinner here on a week night because it was close by. Great food and great service. I then looked on Yelp and couldn't believe how bad the reviews were. We returned for lunch a few days later, had the same good experience. Pleasant surroundings, low volume classical background music. Extensive and varied Chinese and Vietnamese menus. Friendly and efficient service. Modest prices, generous servings = great value. We took half of our food home for a second meal. During our second visit, we spoke to the couple at the next table; they said it is their favorite Chinese restaurant. This is one of our all-time favorite Chinese restaurants--we will be frequent customers.

I never had hot and sour soup that was made with giant chunks of chicken. It was terrible.

Authentic Chinese food. Nice atmosphere and a decent price. The soup is great, as is the Sweet n Sour chicken. Friendly staff and one of the better sit down Chinese restaurants in the area.

I'm going to keep this a little briefer than normal. My daughter and I had a good meal here. I went to Jade Garden in spite of the bad reviews here on Yelp and was kind of surprised things went so wrong in the other reviews...Maybe I went on a good day. We both had the combo specials for $9. Each of us had a tasty order of wonton soup. The wonton were fresh and firm, the broth was nicely flavored and there were bits of pork and scallions floating around. I also ordered beef on sticks as an appetizer. The beef had a nice BBQ reddish color to it with a distinct flavor. Nice thing was they came portioned for 6 instead of the 4 you get most places. My daughter's beef and broccoli was cooked perfectly. The Szechuan beef I ordered was sauced in a textbook style with the sauce cooked into the meat instead of dripping gooey sauce all over my plate. I would definitely come here again. I've visited a lot of Chinese food places over the course of my life and this it's far from the worst I've seen. FYI, my 9 year old inspected the bathrooms and reported they were absolutely clean. I pressed her to note anything out of place and she repeated the same opinion. The interior is a little dated but the China plates are quaint/appropriate. Our server appeared to be from NYC (her accent gave her away) and she handled things perfectly. She brought things out super fast and was patient with our ordering. Don't be afraid to make your own visit, Jade Garden is capable of serving you a good meal. Hopefully everyone will get the same positive result we did.

Update- 2-15-2013 I am sorry, but I had to take away a star. This makes me sad because their customer service is lovely, and you know I love quality customer service. The reason for the deduction is because they short-cutted the Pho. And any Pho fanatic knows that there ARE NO shortcuts for Pho. It is a tedious, tiresome process tocreate the 5-7 layered broth, and if taken lightly, you will end up with a concoction that is nothing more than a chicken-noodle-soup substance with long noodles. So either they should do Pho the right way, or simply go ahead and take it off the menu. I will give it one more try soon. If its back to good pho, I will put the star back.

Dinner at the Jade for first time last night. Party of eight and service was very attentive. Wife and I had Vietnamese Pho and summer rolls. Pho was good however fresh sides were very small servings and we had to ask for fresh mint. Summer rolls were ok . Others in group had variety of Chinese and indicated it was all good. All of us agreed we would return.

Wow what great food and awesome service! The workers where literally the nicest I have ever seen at any Chinese restaurant. living here for a while the Chinese restaurants around here are by far the worst I have ever experienced. I have gone to countless places that where too dirty, the food was dry or just did not want to eat because of the quality. I love this place and my search has ended for good Chinese. I highly recommend eating or ordering out here over any other place!

Down hill!!! This used to be my go to place....now it's my never go to place! Ordered take out for 4 people....combo meals & a side of steamed dumplings. Picked up order & asked for sides of their fresh hot mustard & duck sauce instead of the packets....the lady gave us 1 small side of each...we asked for 1 extra of each & she gave us an adamant "No!". She said we only had 3 egg rolls so that's all we get. The General Tsao chicken was all dark meat....gross....with green pepper instead of broccoli. The fried rice & the fried crispy noodles were stale. The steamed dumplings had no side sauce like you get from every other chinese restaurant. The half egg drop/wonton soup tasted like sour eggs! Hope we don't get sick...just ate! They didn't give us any fortune cookies. I went there a few months ago to dine in & they got one dinner order totally wrong (ordered beef & they brought pork) and the waitress insisted we ordered the pork & almost refused to bring the beef order. They no longer have ice cream as a dessert & instead give a stale almond cookie! Good bye Jade Gardens....they're are way too many other good chinese restaurants in the area!

Since the new ownership has taken over I would definitely stay away. This takeover took place about a year ago, and I have noticed the decline in service, food quality and sanitation. My last trip there was a desperate one. I had been working all day and hadn't gotten to the grocery store so I thought I would give Jade Garden a jingle and another chance. I was very sad when I arrived to see the very first table in the restaurant made into a serving/personal item station. The employees had their own half eaten food, books, and random garbage on the very first flippin' table! That is absolutely inexcusable. It was a Friday night, around 7:45 and there wasn't a single table filled at in the place...bad sign. The girl was rude to me that brought out my to go order. Already ticked off and grossed out I made it home to eat. The food was bland, they have definitely compromised the original recipes from the original owners. I will never eat from here again.

Go-to place for Chinese food around the Debary/Orange City area. Everything I've had has been very tasty and the prices are very reasonable. Actually, now that I think about it, the prices are great for the amount of food you get. It's a quick and easy way to get good Chinese food. I've never eaten in, but their take-out service is great. Been going here since the early 90s.

This used to be the place to go for wonderful Chinese food. New owners came in and while not as good as the originals the food was still adequate. Service, however, was not good. We had a new server, who admitted to us he had never been a server before. This became obvious as the meal progressed. He had no knowledge of the menu, no ability to space out appetizers and the meals or the ability to bring out dessert. I worked restaurants for years and I'm pretty tolerant especially with new employees but this guy was absolutely terrible. He didn't even come back to our table to see how the food was. I actually complained to the owners and was met with a shrug and the comment "He's new." Maybe so, but that experience will keep me from returning.

I'm only giving it 3 stars simply because of my last visit (May 2013). Up until then, I have been a regular customer (both delivery & take out) since May 2011. I've always LOVED it. The food is always yummy & the woman & man that I typically deal with are just AWESOME! But this last time, I called in my order to pick up on my way home from work. When I got in, the woman (one I'd never seen before) charged me $21 & change. I always order the same exact thing: sweet & sour chicken & an order of cream cheese wontons. I have always paid $14 & change for this order & I said that to her. She was very rude & told me I didn't know what I was talking about!! When I got home, I saw what she had done. Instead of giving me the combo meal, she charged me for the fried rice as an extra. You can't imagine how much (white & fried) rice I had with that sweet & sour chicken! :-( They are in the perfect location for me & are the only Chinese restaurant in the immediate area that I actually like so it's sad for me that I won't get to have Chinese anymore...all because of a stuck up egotist woman who needs to remain behind closed doors instead of dealing with the public! I will never order from them again because of her. I can't because I don't want to deal with her again...

All I can say is "WOW". Honestly, I live in the NY area very close to China-town, which as is as authentic as you can get ethnically, so to find this little treasure in this location is a sure hit in my book! My honey turned me on to hot and sour soup that was utterly to die for, as well as the rest of our meal!

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
